Proof & Particle began with a simple frustration: too much science apparel is written from the outside looking in. The formulas are decorative. The jokes stop at recognition. The people and ideas that made science extraordinary disappear behind clip art.
The spark was personal
A theorem can be beautiful.
The life behind it can be unforgettable.
While reading Simon Singh's Fermat's Last Theorem, our founder encountered the story of Évariste Galois: a young mathematician organizing revolutionary ideas on the night before a fatal duel. The mathematics mattered. So did the person, the urgency, and everything that remained unfinished.
That story stayed. It became part of the reason for building a collection that treats mathematics, physics, and astronomy as living intellectual culture—not a shelf of recycled equations.
What we believe
Understanding should deepen the shirt. It should never have to rescue it.
Every design must work twice: first as something visually strong enough to wear, then as a quiet signal to the person who knows why it is funny, moving, or exact.
Make it wearable.
Strong typography, restrained color, and convincing institutional design carry the shirt even when the reference goes unnoticed.
Build it originally.
We draw from factual history and public scientific knowledge, not franchises, copied artwork, borrowed identities, or mass-produced AI jokes.
